Nobby Solano will make his Leicester City debut today against former club Newcastle United.
Solano, 35, was handed a short-term deal with the Foxes after failing to land a deal back at St James' Park.
It will be an emotional debut for Solano, who said: "It saddens me to see a club like Newcastle in the Championship.
"I always kept an eye on their results last season and you could see what was happening.
"On the last day last season, I was in Peru and set my alarm early to watch the English football. I knew what Newcastle had to do to avoid relegation.
"It was a game between two of my old clubs and, no offence to Villa, but I was desperate for Newcastle to win and stay up. But it was not to be and I could not believe it when the final whistle went and relegation was confirmed.
"I felt so upset for old team-mates like Steve Harper and Steven Taylor but especially for those fans. Relegation spoilt my breakfast.
"I was thousands of miles away in Peru but for the rest of that day all I could think of was Newcastle being relegated."
