Soehn still awaiting DC United's coaching decision

DC United have still not decided whether to offer current coach Tom Soehn a new contract.

After the club failed to make this season's MLS play-offs because of a late season drop-off, things need to be looked at in order to get back into a position of potential success.

Soehn has been at the club as head coach for three years and if he is installed again will become DC United's longest serving coach but he understands the need for the club to make the absolute right decision and appoint who they think will take them to silverware.

"It's always difficult. It's the nature of the business," Soehn said in an interview with the Washington Post.

"As a coach, you get graded on your results, and over the past three years, all the competitions we've had, the results are pretty good.

"Obviously, there are highs and lows throughout all the time that you are here. There have been some real highs.

"Obviously, you evaluate all of that, and reflect and make sure you learn and grow from it, but also prepare for what is next."
