Sochaux forward Charlie Davies is still a chance to make the USA World Cup squad.
The 23-year old was struck down with debilitating injuries following a car accident towards the end of last year but has made a remarkable comeback with the help of plenty of rehab.
Despite the fact he will not take any part with Sochaux at club level for the remainder of the French Ligue 1 season, Davies remains a chance to get on the plane to South Africa according to national team boss Bob Bradley.
"We are all very proud of the determination and the attitude that Charlie has displayed throughout his rehabilitation process," Bradley said.
"It has always been understood that the timing of his return to playing would be difficult to predict. We are continuing to keep track of his progress as we look to make the final decisions on the training camp roster for next month."
