Wesley Sneijder is edging closer to departing from Galatasaray. Turkish sources say Gala are preparing to sell the Dutch ace by moving for PSG attacker Ezequiel Lavezzi as a direct replacement.

Fotomac says as soon as Lavezzi arrives, Gala will give Sneijder the green light to move on.

The former Ajax and Real Madrid midfielder has been linked with Louis van Gaal's Manchester United and conceded only last month he'd struggle to turn down such an opportunity.

"I'm happy at Galatasaray, I have established myself at the club.

"But if Van Gaal would make a bid for me I would at least be forced to consider it. No one from the Netherlands can easily ignore Van Gaal."
