Barcelona great Javier Mascherano has left the Chinese Premier League to sign with Argentina's Estudiantes.
Mascherano, who played for Corinthians, West Ham and Liverpool before Barcelona for eight years and Hebei Fortune in China, was presented before 15,000 supporters on Sunday.
"I want to thank Estudiantes, the president, the coach and everyone who made my return to Argentine football possible, today's a special day for me and I take on this challenge with a lot of hope," said the 35-year-old.
