Arsenal midfielder Emile Smith Rowe was seen in tears at the end of victory at Bournemouth yesterday.
The midfielder was handed a first start in over a year by Gunners manager Mikel Arteta as they won 4-0 at Dean Court.
Late into the game, with the score at 3-0, Smith Rowe had an excellent chance to score.
On 90 minutes he saw an effort saved by Bournemouth goalkeeper Neto, with Ben White scoring a fourth goal for the visitors moments later.
Football.London reports Smith Rowe was later spotted in tears when clapping the away support, with Oleksandr Zinchenko attempting to console his teammate.
Coaching staff were seen speaking to the winger, who wiped his face with his shirt before walking away towards the tunnel.
