SKC admits Kamara's move to Norwich will become permanent…if they avoid relegation

Sporting Kansas City boss Peter Vermes suggests Kei Kamara's shift to Norwich City will become permanent.

The 28-year old Sierra Leone forward joined the Canaries on loan in January, with his temporary deal expiring on May 6, but Vermes indicated that there could be a permanent deal on the cards.

"We're also inquiring as well, so we can do some planning," said Vermes on the possibility of Kamara leaving permanently.

"We're looking into it, but I haven't heard anything yet."

He added: "We've already negotiated everything. Other than Kei saying he doesn't want to do it, it would pretty much go through."

But Vermes suggested that Norwich had been struggling to make a decision purely for the fact that they have not yet ensured their Premier League safety for next season. The Canaries currently sit 14th in the Premier League, four points above the drop zone.

"They're not really sure where they sit right now and where they're going to go," Vermes added.

"If they would be a little more secure in their position in the league, I think it would be easier for them to make a deal one way or the other. Right now, I think that's why we're not hearing anything. That's my opinion. It may not be fact."
