Peterborough United youngster Ronnie Edwards has caught the eye of Manchester United great Sir Alex Ferguson.
The Daily Express says Ferguson has told United to sign Edwards.
Ferguson has told John Murtough to join the host of Premier League clubs tracking the 18-year-old, who has started Posh's last three games for Darren Ferguson's side.
The report goes on to suggest Peterborough have no plans to sell, and hope he could be worth up to £20m in the future - but Ferguson senior apparently hopes his family connection could give United the edge if he is made available to buy.
Posh football director Barry Fry is also a former United player.
