Sinclair joins ex-West Ham teammate Stimac for India Asian Cup push

Former Premier League star Trevor Sinclair has joined India's coaching staff for the Asian Cup.

The ex-Three Lions midfielder, who is now 50, is linking up with former West Ham United teammate Igor Stimac.

The latter is the manager for the Indian national side for the Asia Cup in Qatar this month.

Sinclair, who was a star at the 2002 World Cup with England, played 12 times for his country.

He posted on X: "Happy New Year to you all.

"Very grateful to Igor Stimac for inviting me to join the Indian national team coaching staff for the upcoming Asian Cup.

"I'm honoured to accept this challenge and will do my best to help the whole group."
