Werder Bremen defender Mikael Silvestre has warned teammates they face a stern test against Champions League opponents Tottenham.
The former Arsenal and Manchester United defender is expected to start tonight for Werder.
"In the first 20 or 30 minutes it was difficult to catch up with my breathing so all I tried to do was keep my position and attempt to control the opponent," Silvestre told the London Evening Standard of his debut against Bayern Munich.
"That's when you have to use your experience - when physically you are not at your best, you have to use your head. I tried my best and I think that I did okay.
"I lost some balls and I must improve in that department but I have much more time ahead of me to settle into this team."
