Sigurdsson: Nothing in Swansea, Villa tunnel bust-up

Gylfi Sigurdsson has played down the fracas that took place between Swansea and Aston Villa players in the tunnel following their Premier League fixture at Villa Park.

It is understood players from the two sides clashed in the tunnel after leaving the field following Swansea's 2-1 win.

Sky Sports is reporting the angst stemmed from a first-half altercation between Federico Fernandez and Micah Richards, which saw the pair separated by teammates.

However, Sigurdsson was adamant there was very little in the incident and all parties have moved on.

"It's typical when both teams are struggling, both players were frustrated," Sigurdsson told Sky Sports.

"But I think it shows the passion and how much they want to win. Of course they're going to get situations where you're angry and those things happen, we've seen it plenty of times before.

"The players have sorted it out, nothing major happened. We just had a little laugh about it and had a couple of jokes at Federico. It was all fun and games."
