Shotton accepts he's not yet first-choice at Stoke

Ryan Shotton knows he's no first choice at Stoke City.

Whilst revealing his delight at his recent inclusion in manager Tony Pulis' starting line-up, Shotton is refusing to take anything for granted regarding a regular starting berth after switching positions to great effect at Wolves.

"I won't lie, it's a dream for me to be playing in these games and being part of this fantastic football club; I absolutely love it," he told stokecityfc.com.

"But there is no way I will be getting too far ahead of myself! I haven't cemented myself a spot in this team, there is a lot more for me to do before I can say that.

"I am learning with each and every game we play and that is great for me. Playing alongside, and training with the lads we have here is really helping me to become a better player, and long may that continue."
