Ellis Short is delighted with the progress Sunderland have made on the pitch since his takeover.
Short has expressed his pleasure at the club's progress since he arrived.
Short told SAFC TV: "We have had our ups and downs, but overall I'm happy. We have progressed as a team and we're much better than we were before.
"More importantly, I think we can safely say we've dropped the title of yoyo club and we're now an established Premier League team.
"Steve Bruce is building a young quality, squad, and you can also tell that we are better by our performances. If you look at the way we have played this season we've had some fantastic performances - performances to really be proud of!"
