Shinji Kagawa is hoping for a clean slate at Manchester United under new manager Louis Van Gaal.
With a new boss at the Old Trafford helm, the 25 year-old feels refreshed and has vowed to start the new campaign on a high note.
"I feel incredibly excited," Kagawa told AFP in Tokyo.
"It's a new start and I feel re-energised. It's up to the players to get the results we need. I have a strong desire to do well.
"I'll look more closely at my game and accept the challenge filled with passion."
