Manchester City expect Sven Goran Eriksson to be in charge for the club's post-season tour of Thailand.
Reports have suggested former Thai premier Thaksin Shinawatra could sack the Swedish manager following City's disappointing form in the second half of the season.
But Thaksin's son Panthongtae Shinawatra said Eriksson would still be on board when City tour Thailand and Hong Kong.
"He will lead the squad to Thailand," Panthongtae, who is a director of the club, told reporters.
