Aston Villa boss Tim Sherwood wants Stiliyan Petrov to lead the team out at Wembley for their FA Cup semifinal.
Villa reached the FA Cup semi-finals with a 2-0 home win over neighbouring West Brom.
Sherwood, in charge just four matches, admits he may let Petrov lead out the side next month at Wembley.
When quizzed about such a role for Petrov, Sherwood replied: "Good idea. It is a possibility.
"We are pleased to have Stiliyan on board and involved. He can add something to this club this season and beyond."
