Sherwood held crisis talks with Spurs players and staff

Tottenham boss Tim Sherwood held crisis talks with his players and staff after their thrashing by Liverpool.

The Telegraph says having staged a two-hour discussion after the 4-0 defeat by Chelsea on March 8, the Spurs players remained in the dressing room for an hour after Liverpool defeated them by the same margin on Sunday.

While this meeting is understood to have been relatively calm and reasoned, serious questions were raised between players and staff over what went wrong, tactics, team selection and training.

There is concern within the squad that Sherwood is sending his team out without a plan B if the initial set-up does not work. Some players have also become frustrated and disillusioned by the frequent changes Sherwood makes to his starting line-ups.
