Newcastle United youngster Elliot Anderson has been described as a "powerhouse: .
The talented midfielder came on for Allan Saint-Maximin during a narrow win over Nottingham Forest on Friday.
Ex-Tottenham boss Tim Sherwood lavished praise on Anderson, stating the 20-year-old was one to watch.
He told Soccer Saturday: "He's a good player, and he's not a left-sided player either. He was playing out of position, but Eddie knows he'll do a job for you. He wants to get on the field, had a loan spell at Bristol Rovers and the kid has got an eye for goal. He can score, and he's a big lad and very powerful.
"He's a central midfield player, he looks like Longstaff, he's that sort of mould, he knows when to arrive in the box.
“He's a good all-round player, a fantastic squad player and one they'll want to keep hold of and nurture because they all love one of their own. The kid is a powerhouse, he gets over the top and is devastated that was ruled out."
