Aston Villa boss Tim Sherwood says they'll survive without Liverpool striker Christian Benteke.
Villa travel to Anfield on Saturday but their former striker will be absent through injury.
Sherwood said: "We were telling him to stay here, score 30 goals and then go into the Championships on a high. I never ever criticised any other club, I was just selling him Aston Villa, I've read that I was telling him: 'You don't want to go there because of their style of play.' This is all rubbish.
"We have to find different way because Christian's gone now. Fabian Delph's gone, Tom Cleverley's gone. They were established Premier League footballers but we're on a new page now.
"We have to move forward and develop the ones we have. We're happy with the squad. We need to find goals from elsewhere now."
