Sheffield Wednesday midfielder James O'Connor is set to depart the League One club for a coaching role in MLS.
The 32-year old Dublin-born former Stoke City, West Bromwich Albion and Burnley man is expected to leave the Hillsborough Stadium in the coming days with reports suggesting he has a coaching job at an unnamed MLS club.
Despite making 18 appearances for the Owls so far this season, O'Connor's departure is imminent as he comes out of contract in the summer and Sheffield boss Gary Megson is looking to freshen up his squad as he chases promotion to the Championship.
