James Beattie insists he's happy at Sheffield United.

The former Everton centre-forward has been linked with a return to the Premiership, with Newcastle and Manchester City among clubs keeping tabs.

"I've enjoyed this year, with what happened at Everton, where I wasn't being treated very well," Beattie told BBC Radio Sheffield. "The managers that have been here have treated me very well and with respect, which is all I ever ask."

The striker added: "The fans have been great to me too."
