Sheffield United are going to postpone any decision regarding Mo Besic until the summer.
The Everton star has been on loan with the Blades this season.
While he did not play much initially, he has become a key figure as injuries and fatigue piled up.
But manager Chris Wilder wants to wait until the end of the season before deciding whether the deal will be made permanent.
He also confirmed there is no break clause in the contract allowing Everton to take back Besic this month.
"Yes, there's no break in his contract in this window," the United manager told reporters.
"It's only if someone wants to come in to sign him permanently."
