Sheffield Utd manager Wilder: Besic knew he had to do something special

Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder says Mo Besic will be staying for the season.

The midfielder is on-loan at Bramall Lane from Everton.

Wilder told the Sheffield Star: "Yes, there's no break in his contract in this window. It's only if someone wants to come in to sign him permanently.

"I actually didn't think it was one of Mo's better performances [against Millwall]. But then he scored and he came alive, which was great.

"He had to pull something out of the bag, as the board was up and a change was in the offing. He (Besic) might have have a little peek over and thought 'I might have to do something here to keep on the pitch.'

"His performance, overall though, was good. It was a great goal and he's a popular boy."
