Sheffield United are not giving up on a long-term transfer target this summer.

Per The Star, they are considering signing Diaz permanently in the off-season, as he impresses on loan from Villarreal.

Brereton Diaz scored twice and had an assist in a 3-3 draw against Fulham at the weekend.

The club are aware that their financial situation is not in the best state at the moment.
