Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder wants to hang onto Phil Jagielka.

The Blades hope to keep hold of Jagielka beyond the end of his current deal, which runs out on May 31.

Wilder wants him to stay at least until the end of the season given the influence he has had on the dressing room this season.

He said: "I'll be having talks with Jags but I know what his response would be.

"He'd tell me of course he is ready to do that."
