Sheffield Utd boss Wilder on Wolves defeat: Enough with the hard luck stories

Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder admits defeat at Wolves on Sunday was tough to take.

Wolves won 1-0 via Pablo Sarabia, leaving Wilder ruing what could have been.

He later said: "I don't want hard luck stories. We've got to turn good performances into results. We had enough of the play in the second half, we had Wolves where we wanted them. That's where we have to find quality and composure if the players want to be Premier League players.

"We've not found that big moment. We had two big chances in the first half. The team is learning in the job, it's a fresh, new team, and the hardest place to learn is in the Premier League. I hope they will learn, the attitude was good, but we have not come away with a result.

"It's a tough one to take, I don't want us to be unlucky, I want us to be ruthless."

On Rhian Brewster's performance, he said: "He was outstanding in everything he did, he will get better and better. He has had a tough time, he has been injured for a long period of time. I had him here the first time, he is a good kid, hopefully he can build on this and be fortunate with his injuries."

Wilder also commented on the clash between Jack Robinson and Vini Souza in the first half: "You can imagine my response to that. It is a passionate game, we don't want to see that every week but if it takes something like that to get them going, I'm happy."
