Sheffield United boss Kevin Blackwell insists James Beattie is staying at Bramall Lane.
Manchester City and Middlesbrough have been linked with Beatts, but Blackwell told the club's official website: "James is tied into a four-year contract here and at the moment I'm delighted he's banging in the goals for Sheffield United.
"He's worked hard to overcome the injury that he got over Christmas and, as far as interest in him goes, we can decide who and when anybody speaks to him.
"However, there is nothing to say he is leaving at the end of the season."
