Sheffield Utd boss Heckingbottom confident of late additions

Sheffield United manager Paul Heckingbottom wants his side to make use of the transfer window.

The Blades coach admits that he may not have a squad good enough to stay in the Premier League.

After promotion, Sheffield United have been cautious in spending money, but Heckingbottom believes they must get more players in through the door.

“I'm comfortable in the knowledge we can deal with the league," said Heckingbottom told reporters over the weekend.

“But circumstances have conspired to give us a tough start to the season, when I wanted to be really aggressive at the start.

“We've got another seven days to come out of the window as strong as we can, and then we get to work.

“I want as many as I can but I'm realistic. Me and Prince Abdullah speak all the time, but there are always restrictions. We're working as hard as we can with what we have.

“We know what we want, now it's a case of trying to get it done. I may have to leave people out of the 25 as well. Realistically, we know how tough it is to get players in. That's going to be our focus over the next few days."
