Sheffield United boss Danny Wilson has been named the League One manager of the month for December. Wilson led the Blades to four wins from four league games during the month to strengthen the South Yorkshire side's promotion push.

He told the club's official website: "The award is recognition for all the staff and players' hard work at the club and, whilst it is awarded to the manager, it is something that can only be achieved through everyone working together.

"We have not achieved anything yet but if we continue this way, we have every chance of being in the right place at the end of the season."
