Shechter to miss Swansea Cup tie on religious grounds

Swansea City striker Itay Shechter will be missing from tonight's Capital One Cup tie with Crawley Town.

Shechter has been given permission to miss Tuesday's Capital One clash with Crawley Town as he observes the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur.

The Israeli forward was set to start his first game for Swansea away at Crawley but has been given special dispensation by manager Michael Laudrup to miss the second round clash.
