Geordie great Alan Shearer is full of praise for new Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes.

The 25-year-old made the move to the Red Devils from Sporting Lisbon in January, and since then he has scored three goals and created three assists in eight appearances.

Shearer told BBC Sport: "When you have got someone who comes into a football club with that arrogance in a good way it makes a difference. He has got the belief that he can turn things around and has certainly got the ability.

"Everyone else is reacting off of him. Whenever he gets that ball, United players are moving. I didn't see that before he arrived in many United games."
