Shaw sends support to Man Utd teammate Pogba after France exit

Manchester United left back Luke Shaw has offered his support to teammate Paul Pogba.

While Shaw's England side defeated Germany 2-0 to book a spot in the quarter finals of Euro 2020, Pogba and France were eliminated on penalties by Switzerland after a 3-3 draw.

Despite scoring in the game, Pogba gave the ball away in the buildup to Switzerland's equaliser in the dying minutes of the game.

Pogba posted a message on Instagram post-game, saying: "Sometimes football can be cruel… cruel and also beautiful. Yesterday, the game brought us sadness but happiness to our opponents. That's the beauty of football.

"Of course we all wished that we could have had a positive result.

"Thank you so much to all of our fans across the globe. It was beautiful to see you, to hear you, and to celebrate with you. You gave us hope and joy throughout all of our games. We will keep our heads up and we will come back stronger.

"Finally, I want to wish congratulations to Switzerland."

Shaw replied to the post, saying: "Keep your head up bro your the best," while adding praise and love heart emojis.
