Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is ready to sell several fringe players to boost his January transfer kitty.
The Sun says Mourinho will have an £80m United transfer war-chest in January, it is understood.
It is thought some of the United squad will be axed to help boost the kitty including Luke Shaw and Matteo Darmian.
A source said: “Shaw and Darmian are in the firing line. There's a few key positions he wants to fill throughout the squad."
Newcastle were interested in signing Shaw, 22, next month, but have been put off by United's £20m asking price.
Darmian is set to be sold as well, with Sevilla and Roma both ready to swoop for the 27-year-old, who has a £15m valuation.
