Colombian popstar Shakira has declined to comment on her relationship with Barcelona defender Gerard Pique.
Sport says Shakira was forced to leave Barcelona last week due to the media frenzy around her and Pique.
In Argentina, she gave an interview to Luz and was asked about Pique: "With all due respect, I decided not to talk about my private life.
"I hope the press understands me and can imagine what it's like in my situation right now."
Indeed, since the news broke that they were an item, the interest from the celebrity mags has forced both Shakira and Pique to limit their public appearances.
