Leicester City boss Craig Shakespeare admits frustrating is growing over delays in their deal for Sporting CP midfielder Adrien Silva.
FIFA have withheld the International Transfer Certificate which would allow the Portugal international to train and play for City after his £22 million move from Sporting Lisbon because the documentation was received 14 seconds after the deadline.
“It is my job to do that (ask for updates)," said Shakespeare.
“I want the player. I want to involve him so it is my job to keep asking and I will keep doing that.
“I think you have to be positive. I want to be positive for the lad because when I speak to him it is like a little boy saying please can I come and play with your ball.
“I am aware that sometimes there is only so many times you can tell a person 'you need to train in there.' For all parties the quicker we can get him in there the better.
“He wants it all dealt with quicker. He is frustrated but he understands what the legal side of it is as well."
