Fulham owner Shahid Khan has been discussing why he bought the club this summer.
The Jacksonville Jaguars owner bought Fulham from Mohamed Al Fayed last month.
He told the London Evening Standard: "There are a number of different reasons. They are a London club, the history of the place, they have been in the Premier League for a long time and have had good management and leadership with Martin and [chief executive] Alistair Mackintosh.
"When you combine all of those elements and the opportunity presented itself, the more I looked at it I thought it was the perfect club at the perfect time. We also made the commitment with the Jacksonville Jaguars to be in London for the next four years, with a game each season, so it all made sense."
