Sevilla have approached Almeria this week about goalkeeper Diego Alves.
Since the New Year, the Brazilian has been linked with AC Milan, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Arsenal.
Cadena Ser says Sevilla have now made a move for Alves as they consider introducing competition for Andre Palop.
