Sevilla coach Pablo Machin frustrated after Leganes draw

Sevilla coach Pablo Machin was left frustrated after their draw with Leganes.

Machin made it clear who was to blame for the poor display.

Franco 'Mudo' Vazquez was dismissed in the tunnel at half-time after protesting to referee Hernandez Hernandez.

"It's a point which is more qualitative than quantative given how we achieved it," Machin explained.

"We have three key absences; early on they scored a great goal; we had to get over the sending off of Mudo [Vazquez]; an injury to Jesus [Navas].

"The team has shown again that they are together and we have compensated for Mudo's bad behaviour as we looked for our moment.

"With Wissam [Ben Yedder]'s instinct, we take a point which I don't know if it feels like a win, but it shows that this team has soul and courage to draw where Barcelona lost."

The coach went on to explain that he is still unsure of exactly what happened to see the midfielder sent off.

"I found out about everything in the dressing room, it surprised me enormously," he admitted.

"I'm sure that Mudo thought, quite correctly, that it could have been a second yellow for [Allan] Nyom, that's why their coach took him off after, but it's not an excuse to lose your nerve and say something to get sent off.

"We can't afford the luxury of someone who doesn't think and is a burden to the team."
