Sevilla coach Jose Luis Mendilibar was satisfied with their 0-0 draw against Real Betis.
The match also saw Juan Miranda sent off for Real Betis late on for a challenge on Jesus Navas.
Mendilibar later said: "Right now mental strength is more important than physical. I think that we are mentally well, that we all want to play and that is why we have been closer to winning than Betis.
“We were too eager to score a goal. We wanted to get there too fast and in the end we had chances in which we were not as successful as we had been on other occasions. I prefer the effort of the kids. We ended up being better than them and not only because of the red card.
“I'm enjoying it more than ever, it's true. As soon as I got here I felt confident that I had good players to win the games."
On the red card, he also said: “There are two things there. I think that the player has not been in bad mood, he was scared when he saw that they only gave him a yellow card because he knew he was being sent off.
"Second, I don't understand how the VAR has to notify the referee that this is red and not yellow. I have told the fourth official, I think that the VAR makes them worse referees. I have been very scared with the tackle."
