Sevilla sports chief Monchi has paid tribute to Jose Antonio Reyes.

Reyes lost his life yesterday in a car accident.

Monchi was the one who sold Reyes to Arsenal in 2004 before bringing him back to the Estadio Sanchez Pizjuan in 2012.

"It's news that is impossible to believe, impossible to take in," Monchi wrote on Twitter next to a picture of Reyes playing for Sevilla.

"How hard to take my God.

"RIP Jose Antonio Reyes.

"What a great shame.

"What a great left wing Antonio [Puerta] and you are going to make up there."

Puerta was another Sevilla player, who died in 2007.
