Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos proved his commitment to the cause as he helped his team to victory at Athletic Bilbao yesterday.
AS reports he played in the win at San Mames despite being hospitalised on a DRIP 48 hours before their win.
The two-time Champions League winner was hooked up to a drip at Sanitas-La Moraleja clinic in Madrid and was given a saline solution after contracting gastroenteritis.
It is not known what gave Ramos, 30, the bug, that can cause diarrhea and vomiting.
The bug would have stopped Ramos training for most of last week and he was not expected to play in the clash in Bilbao.
