Sergio Ramos insists there's nothing sinister in delays over new contract talks with Real Madrid.

The defender has suspended negotiations until the end of the season.

"I went to talk about it one day. I have not called the club to ask for a renewal," said Ramos.

"I have two years left on my current deal, I am very happy and I have not made a call for a new deal. They are not rushing because I do not see myself in a shirt other than that of Real Madrid. I want to give me best for it."
