The South Korea international scored in Saturday's defeat at Hull City and told the club's website: "Since I came here I've played as a winger but I will do what the Manager wants me to do.
"I want to play and I want to be part of the Team so it doesn't matter where I play. The Manager said I have something he likes as a striker so I have to keep showing him why I should be picked. I will keep trying and when I get the chances, I will try to score some goals.
"I was very pleased with my goal but it would have been better if we had won the game. We should have got three points from that game - it was very disappointing but we have to look forward.
"I haven't set any specific targets for this season but my aim is just to play as much as possible. We struggled to stay up last season and I didn't do anything for the Team, so that was very disappointing for me. So my aim is to do my best and try to have more influence on the pitch."
