Senior players disgusted with Arsenal fans over Eboue savaging

Arsenal's senior players were DISGUSTED with their own fans over the barracking of Emmanuel Eboue during Saturday's 1-0 defeat of Wigan.

The Daily Mail says Eboue was in tears inside the home dressing room after he was substituted by manager Arsene Wenger, having come on in the 32nd minute for the injured Samir Nasri.

The senior players were disgusted with the supporters, taking turns to console Eboue in the dressing room, but it will be a long time before he recovers from this savaging.

Kolo Toure said: "I was surprised by the abuse because normally our fans are really nice. I think the tension was high and maybe that's why they went mad.

"'Eboue is a great lad but sometimes when you come back from a six week injury, you cannot give 100 per cent. I hope next time the fans help him. That's the only way to behave."
