Botafogo midfielder Clarence Seedorf denies blaming Massimilano Allegri for departure from AC Milan.
Seedorf claims he was mistranslated.
"The translation was wrong," he told Sky Sport Italia. "My comments were not take as they were said.
"I hope Allegri does well, and I want to see Milan do well.
"I never wanted to attack [the Coach or the club] at this particular time. I am sorry if I have created any sort of controversy.
"I was simply responding to questions in which I explained why I chose to leave Milan. If my explanation was seen as an attack on Allegri, then I apologise.
"I respected the decisions made by Allegri, and decided to leave the club."
