Leeds have signed Finland midfielder Mika Vayrynen on a 12-month deal, with the option for a second year, reports BBC Sport. The 29-year-old left Dutch side Heerenveen in the summer.
Whites boss Simon Grayson told the club website: "There were good offers from clubs on the continent but he's turned them down because of his ambition to play for us.
"He has won over 50 caps and has a fantastic pedigree. He can play as an attacking or holding midfielder."
He is the second Finland international to join United in less than a week, following the recruitment of striker Mikael Forssell.
