Seattle Sounders take ex-Arsenal youth, Liverpool winger Banton
Seattle Sounders have selected former Arsenal and Blackburn Rovers youth and Liverpool winger Jason Banton in the 2012 MLS Supplemental Draft.
The 19-year old was one of five players the Sounders took in the draft and technical director Chris Henderson is looking forward to taking casting a closer eye over the talented youngster.
"He's bounced around to a couple clubs, but he's the type of player that likes to attack on the wing.
"You can tell he's been taught how to play the right midfield position with his movement and his moves are set up to work the wing. We think he's a guy who, depending on how things play out with our wingers, that he might be a guy who can step in on either flank.""Banton grew up in the Arsenal youth system, similar to Steve Zakuani,” Henderson said.
Seattle also selected two-way midfielder Andy Rose, central defender/midfielder Tim Pontius (younger brother of DC United’s Chris Pontius), forward Abdul Aman and full-back Wes Feighner.

The earlier the better, you bit the clause down because in next transfer window, the player valuation will be down. Take a look at Wesley Schneider who was priced for 35 - 40 million pound last window which his management was reluctant to sell asking for 40-50 million pound but now no club is going for him any longer because when he was needed most the management refused to sell him so you better bring down the price to 40-50 million pound so that clubs can negotiate. If Ronaldo is bought for 80 million pounds that does n't mean clubs should now be forming the habit of placing big money on players head in order to make money. Please, FIFA should look into this matter and find lasting solutions to this clauses.
