Seattle Sounders star Obafemi Martins is thrilled to have been mentioned by new Inter Milan owner Erick Thohir.
Thohir declared Martins as one of his favourite players when he was coming through at Inter.
"I thank Thohir, his sign of esteem excites me a lot," smiled the Nigerian.
Martins also told TMW: "It's wonderful that you remember me, I started my professional career at Inter. And it was a pleasure and it will be a pleasure to return to Italy soon.
"I have a second home there, I never sold my place in Como."
Martins also revealed his relationship with Inter president Massimo Moratti.
"When my father died, he gave me some money to go to Nigeria, to see my family. I was very young, but this is something priceless. He was not required to do so, it was not necessary and it is a gesture that I will remember forever."
