Scunthorpe United boss Nigel Adkins is giving a trial to New Zealand international Chris James.

The 20-year-old came through the youth ranks at Premiership side Fulham and has one cap for the Kiwis.

James, who can play as an attacking midfielder, has also appeared for England at junior level.

He is expected to feature along with fellow trialist Lewis Marr in a junior game for Scunthorpe at Armthorpe on Tuesday evening.
