Burley was pragmatic about the 3-1 loss, the Scotland boss telling BBC Radio Scotland: "In the first half we kept our shape and looked solid.
"They made substitutions in the second half and looked bright and lively.
"We were a wee bit disappointed about the goals we lost but overall, it gave us a chance to look at a number of players.
"It was hot which was ideal preparation for the first World Cup qualifier against Macedonia.
"The experience will do us good."
He added of the travelling support: "The Tartan Army were in good voice and the support was terrific."

"James (Morrison) is a young player and showed he can compete in the international level. We had one or two call-offs and David (Clarkson) came on to score a terrific goal. He'll be happy with his debut.
"However, when Stephen (McManus) went off we looked a bit vulnerable. That shows you how important he is.
"I'm sure the experience will do us good and it gave other people opportunities."
